PowerKey® Pro Model 650, the world's smartest power strip, brings the renowned features of our PowerKey products to modern systems through its native USB connection. It features completely rewritten software that runs natively on OS 8.6 through X.

TWO VERSIONS TO FIT ALL USERS' NEEDS

PowerKey Pro 650 is available in two versions. The SOHO version includes everything desktop users need to take control of their systems. Use it to easily control your peripherals with a keystroke or telephone call, automatically switch outlets, and start up or shut down your computer at any scheduled time.

The Admin version turns PowerKey Pro 650 into a full server management system. It adds crash monitoring and recovery and powerful scripting and automation capabilities. The SOHO version can be upgraded to the admin version at any time.

"SOHO" VERSION -- FEATURES AND BENEFITS

SIX INDIVIDUALLY SWITCHABLE OUTLETS

Each outlet on the PowerKey Pro can be turned on and off individually. This can be done in several different ways: manually, using the switches on the PowerKey Pro; automatically, using the PowerKey software or hot keys; or by telephone using the phone keypad. You can also "lock" any chosen outlets to keep them from accidentally turning off.

EASY CONTROL VIA SOFTWARE

The included control panel gives you an instant look at the status of your outlets and lets you switch them on and off with a mouse click. You can easily name outlets to help remember what's plugged into each.

SYSTEM-WIDE HOT KEYS

In the control panel you can also define hot keys, which allow you to switch outlets with a keystroke, no matter what you're doing with your computer.

TELEPHONE POWER CONTROL

PowerKey Pro can be connected to any analog phone line. You can call your PowerKey Pro and use telephone tones to control your outlets or wake up a sleeping computer. You can create custom tone sequences that work like passwords to ensure no unauthorized user can gain access.

SCHEDULING CAPABILITIES

The PowerKey Pro software includes a flexible scheduling system to switch outlets and wake up or shut down your computer. You can create events that run at a chosen time on the weekday(s) of your choice, the same day every month, or any regular interval from minutes to weeks. Events that switch outlets can even run when the computer is off or sleeping.

"ADMIN" VERSION ENHANCEMENTS

The admin version of PowerKey Pro 650 adds key features which combine to make PowerKey Pro 650 a powerful system automation and monitoring tool.

The admin version is also available as a software upgrade to the SOHO version.

CRASH DETECTION

Our Rebound!^® technology lets PowerKey Pro monitor your computer and automatically restart it in case of a crash, just like our popular Rebound! and Kick-off!^® products. It can also monitor vital server applications to ensure 24x7 uptime.

ADVANCED SCHEDULING

Our iDo^® Script Scheduler software turns PowerKey into a full automation system. Create powerful events to perform AppleScripts at any time.

LOGGING

In Mac OS 8.6-9.x, our monoLog^® software works with PowerKey (and the features listed above) to keep a log of crashes. You can also configure monoLog to notify you of important events by e-mail or pager. In Mac OS X, PowerKey uses the system's built-in "syslog" feature to log crashes.
